saffy o (any/all pronouns) is a creative storyteller, tarot reader, visionary, community builder, cultural organizer, and event planner based in the DC metro area. Saffy produces works and programming to fill in gaps, urging their community to demand better conditions in every space they enter.
Their writing often explores the hidden desires we have for our bodies, for our love, for our future. Saffy wants to create a world free from harm, and is unafraid to talk about what is done in the dark.
saffy and their team at AYA Art Collective plan virtual and in-person events for groups of 5 to 500, with a focus on promoting the work of Black Queer and Trans folks in the DMV. Skilled at painting a picture with words concisely, saffy has been awarded over $20,000 in grant funding and counting for AYA Art Collective.

Dedicated to collective liberation, saffy has facilitated numerous spaces for Black queer and trans folks in the DMV area and in virtual spaces.

CREATIVE VISIONARY

Since 2023, saffy has produced liberation-centered events highlighting the contributions of contemporary Black Queer and Trans creatives in the DC metro area since 2023 as the visionary behind AYA Art Collective.
AYA has helped allocate over $20,000 directly into the Black Queer and Trans creative community by paying artists for their talents, sponsoring events, and helping launch the careers and endeavors of Black artists in the DC metro area.
As a spiritualist, saffy taps into the universe to bring relevant insights to any inquiry you may have regarding love, next steps, career, and more. You can find saffy offering tarot readings at his own events and various events along the East Coast (for now...)

saffy's debut collection is a reminder to be who you are no matter the cost. Filled with poems, essays, and short stories written during the peak years of the COVID-19 pandemic, saffy's collection offers a closer look at who they were, who they are, and who they are becoming.
